Friday Night Lights Over the Lake! Friday, July 3,

7-9:30 pm, Lee Park

Kick off Independence Day weekend with an unforgettable evening on the shores of Lake Champlain! Join friends, neighbors, and visitors at Lee Park for Friday Night Lights Over the Lake, a FREE community celebration filled with music, food, family fun, and a fireworks view across the water!

Enjoy live entertainment from Overtime Events, gather around the campfire for complimentary s'mores, and take part in fun lawn games, giveaways, and live performances, featuring:
Firedancer Maiz Vargas Sandoval (9pm),
free caricatures by Joe Ferris
and a magic show by Wyatt Hackett Illusion.

Thanks to the Westport-Wadhams Community Alliance and community donors, enjoy free Michigans, hand pies and ice cream sandwiches!

Children of all ages can enjoy free glow sticks, beach balls, and our annual commemorative event stamp t-shirt activity!

As the sun sets over Lake Champlain, settle in for one of the region's most beautiful views as Basin Harbor fireworks illuminate the night sky across the lake around 9pm.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends—and celebrate summer, community, and kickoff the glow of Fourth of July weekend in Westport!

This is family-friendly event on the Town's waterfront property; alcohol and swimming are not permitted.

Saturday, July4th and Sunday July 5th Schedule

  • 10am - 4pm: Bouncy house on the library lawn

  • 10am ~ 2pm: Pop-up Maker’s Market on the library lawn

  • 10am ~ 2pm: Face Painting on the Library Lawn

  • 10am ~ 2pm: Bag coloring activity for kids, for the Westport Food Shelf

  • 11am - Parade lineup at the fairgrounds

  • 12pm - Parade begins

  • 10am - 4pm - Book sale at the library

  • 11am- 2pm - Michigans and strawberry shortcake at the Westport Federated Church

  • 1pm - 4pm - Cardboard boat building at Lee Park

  • 4-6pm - Live music at Ballard Park: Mountain Echo Band

  • 6-8pm - Live music at Ballard Park: Russ Bailey

  • 8pm ~ 10pm: Live music at Portside at the Westport Marina: Moonbird

  • 9pm ~ Sparkler toast with sparklers and Prosecco at Portside at the Marina

  • SUNDAY JULY 5TH

  • 9:30 am - Cardboard boat float challenge, Lee Park

  • 10 am - Volleyball in Lee Park

  • 10am -4pm - Book sale at the library

  • 5pm ~ 8pm: Party at Winton’s Tavern, with live music from the Ponderz, for the Veteran’s Fundraising Tournament
