Explore the farms and forests of Westport with Champlain Area Trails. Since 2009, CATS has added over 100 miles of hiking trails to the Champlain Valley, with 17 trails in Westport featured on their map. Enjoy views of Lake Champlain from Ballard Park in the center of town year round. The park is open for picnics, concerts and public beach access to enjoy swimming in Lake Champlain during the summer months and epic sledding and skating during the winter months. The Westport Golf Course is an 18 hole championship course which offers spectacular mountain views, tournaments and daily tee rates. For boaters, Westport offers a free public Boat Launch and the Westport Marina, which is open seasonally for all your boating needs, including kayak and powerboat rentals. Rolling Hill Estate Winery is Westport’s first winery, open seasonally for tours and public events. The track at the Essex County Fairgrounds can be enjoyed by walkers & runners year round, but don’t miss the Essex County Fair and the Adirondack Harvest Festival!
