Westport is coming in HOT! We are in the midst of humid days, downpours, unbelievably hot sun, and crazily growing greenery. All of our venues are now open, filled with locals and visitors, and there’s boatloads of activities to fill our warm summer days, from picnics to swimming, dining, catching a play or a music show, a local poetry reading or storytelling evening, or boating on beautiful Lake Champlain, to name a few. July 4th—America’s 250th anniversary—is coming right up to add to the festivities!

~ Don’t miss the Triple Green Jade Farm Bi-Weekly Pop-Up Market in Ballard Park, on Wednesday, June 17 from 9am - 1pm! They will be bringing wood-fired sourdough breads, cookies, buns, artisan whole wheat pasta, freshly milled flours, fresh eggs, chicken bone broth, grass-fed beef, beef stock, pasta sauces, frozen pizza dough, quiche, toasted Muesli and even some Merch!

~ There’s still time to participate: Join the July 4th parade! Wind up your creativity and get out those costumes! SIGN UP HERE! The theme is, naturally, America’s 250th Anniversary.

~ Our teachers need your help! Give some love to the educators who teach and take care of our children every single day! The Alliance is partnering with the Griffin Guardian Alliance to offer a big night out in thanks for all the compassionate, thoughtful and hard work they do to raise up our kids to have happy, productive lives. Go Behind the Scenes at the Depot Theatre!

The Depot Theatre Academy and Essex County 4-H invite local youth ages 12-18 to join Inside the Build, a free hands-on workshop exploring how a live theatre production comes together.

Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at scenic construction, props, lighting, sound, stage management, and the teamwork required to bring a show from rehearsal to performance. Along the way, they'll meet theatre professionals, observe a live production environment, and gain insight into the many careers and skills involved in bringing a show to life.

MEADOWMOUNT OPENS THE SEASON ON SUNDAY, JUNE 28!

In just weeks, Meadowmount will welcome nearly 190 students from 27 states, the District of Columbia, and 18 countries!

Beyond the campus, Meadowmount will bring music to the broader North Country community with 14 concerts across the region.

Concerts take place at the Edward Lee and Jean Campe Concert Hall, with student performances scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 5:00 PM. All events are open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 at the door; no advance registration or tickets required.
